Top 5 News and Magazines Android Apps in Ecuador Q3 2023

In the third quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Ecuador exhibited varied trends in downloads and active user metrics. This data comes from Sensor Tower, providing insights into the usage patterns of these applications.

Twitter Lite saw a notable spike in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of approximately 9.6K in mid-August. However, the app's weekly active users showed a more stable trend, climbing slightly from 1.6K at the end of June to around 1.8K by the end of September.

The Way2News Daily News App experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting strong with over 3.1K at the end of June and dropping to around 499 by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a consistent active user base, with numbers fluctuating around 15K throughout the quarter.

Opera News: breaking & local had a significant drop in weekly downloads, which plummeted from over 1.2K at the beginning of the quarter to just 246 by the end. Nonetheless, the app saw a resurgence in active users towards the end of the quarter, increasing from 2K in late June to nearly 3K by the end of September.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket also faced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 1.6K in late June and falling to 353 by the end of September. However, the app's active user numbers remained relatively stable, averaging around 8K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, the Hindi News:Aaj Tak Live TV App showed a decrease in weekly downloads from 627 at the end of June to 157 by the end of September. The app's active user count also saw a slight decrease, moving from 2.7K to around 2.3K over the quarter.
